SCALT Celebrates our HVAC Technicians

As temperatures rise across South Carolina, June 22 serves as the perfect opportunity to recognize the professionals who keep homes and businesses comfortable year-round. National HVAC Tech Day honors the skilled technicians who install, maintain, and repair the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems we rely on every day.

While heating and cooling technologies have existed for centuries, modern HVAC systems emerged in the early 1900s with innovations such as residential air conditioning, advanced thermostats, and blower-equipped furnaces. These advancements transformed indoor comfort and helped fuel growth across the country, particularly in warmer regions where air conditioning made year-round living and working more practical.

Today, HVAC technicians continue to work behind the scenes in challenging conditions. From attics and crawl spaces to rooftops and mechanical rooms, they go where most people would rather not. Whether responding to a summer emergency call or performing routine maintenance, HVAC professionals play a critical role in keeping families safe, comfortable, and energy efficient.

National HVAC Tech Day was established in 2016 by ARS/Rescue Rooter to recognize the dedication and expertise of HVAC technicians throughout the industry.

SCALT encourages member companies to celebrate their technicians on June 22 by recognizing their contributions and sharing photos, stories, and team spotlights on social media. Be sure to use #NationalHVACTechDay and tag SCALT so we can help showcase the outstanding professionals who keep South Carolina running.
